MY LIFE’S PASSION IS TO EMPOWER AND SUPPORT SENSITIVE CHILDREN, TEENS, ADULTS, PARENTS, TEACHERS, AND THERAPISTS BY CREATING SENSITIVELY STRONG.
Does this sound familiar?
- You have always thoughts deeply about life, your experiences, and the people in it.
- You feel all the feels; the highs and the lows, and find it hard to just brush things off, maybe even being descried as too emotional or dramatic.
- You have a caring nature, almost being able to feel other’s experiences and can be distressed witnessing others in any sort of pain.
- You struggle with feelings of anxiety and overwhelm, like life just gets too much sometimes or like you can’t quite keep up with the pace or demands of our modern world.
- You may battle with self criticism, never feeling good enough, or like you’re too much or a burden on others, possibly afraid of rejection and compensate with people pleasing and avoiding conflict.
- You notice the little things in your environment; the smells, sounds, tastes, temperature, textures, moods, objects, and can be hugely impacted by them in a pleasant or unpleasant way.
- You long to feel accepted and understood.
Living a Sensitively Strong life
As a person with the high sensitivity trait, I understand how crippling it can feel when we don’t fully understand what having this trait means for us and our lives. Learning about this trait changed my life! It enabled me to let go of any shame I held about my sensitivity and cultivating compassion for myself and sensitive loved ones. It meant I could understand my highly attuned nervous system and my sensitive needs so I could start creating a life that supported both myself and my family; a Sensitively Strong life.

Training & Experience
My undergraduate degree in Psychology is from University College Dublin after which I completed a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology at University of Wales, Bangor. Following some years of working in the field of mental health, I trained in Counselling and Psychotherapy at IICP College. I am a fully accredited Psychotherapist (Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and founded my own private practice 7 years ago.
I completed a Diploma in Therapy Training & Education and have also lectured for trainee and graduate psychotherapists and psychologists in Trinity College Dublin, Dublin City University, and IICP College. I was also an Editor while on the Editorial Committee for the Irish Journal of Counselling & Psychotherapy for a number of years. My skill for creating and developing both individualised programmes and the courses within the Sensitively School are based upon my lecturing, facilitating, and editorial experiences, as well as over 15 years working in mental health in both community projects and organisations such as St. John of God.
